Osun: Gov Adeleke unveils activities for second anniversary

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has unveiled an array of activities to commemorate his second anniversary in office.


The announcement was made on Friday, November 22, 2024, by the Anniversary Committee led by Teslim Igbalaye, Secretary to the State Government, at the Government House in Oke-Fia, Osogbo.


Igbalaye highlighted the media’s significant role in both critiquing and amplifying the government’s achievements, noting that Governor Adeleke has accomplished milestones often associated with a four-year term in just two years.



The celebrations, set to run from now until late December, will feature several high-profile events.


Key highlights of the celebration according to Igbalaye include; “Commissioning of the Old Garage-Oke Fia-Lameco Expressway by former President Olusegun Obasanjo.


“Expanded Ipade Imole (a town hall meeting). Commissioning of Ring Road by Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde.


“Lunch with Obasanjo. State Broadcast by Governor Adeleke. Novelty Match and State Awards.


“Commissioning of numerous projects across the 30 Local Government Areas. Commissioning of Iresi Township Roads by the governor.”


The celebrations are expected to showcase Governor Adeleke’s developmental strides and underscore his commitment to transforming Osun State within his tenure.
