RATTAWU Honors Evang. Matilda Farinde with Humanitarian Award


The Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU), Osun State Broadcasting Corporation (OSBC) Chapter, on Wednesday, conferred the prestigious Humanitarian Award on Evang. Matilda Farinde, the President of the Brave Women Association, in recognition of her outstanding contributions to uplifting the less privileged in society.

The ceremony, which took place at the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation (OSBC), was attended by a diverse group of dignitaries, including media personnel, community leaders, and philanthropists. This recognition is a testament to Evang. Farinde’s tireless dedication to charitable causes, particularly her efforts in empowering women, children, and marginalized groups across the state.

Evang. Farinde, known for her unwavering commitment to humanitarian work, has spearheaded numerous initiatives aimed at improving the living conditions of vulnerable populations. Through the Brave Women Association, she has provided vital resources such as educational scholarships, provision of foods, healthcare services, and financial support to those in need.

In her acceptance speech, Evang. Farinde expressed gratitude to RATTAWU and the OSBC for the honor, emphasizing the importance of collective action in addressing societal issues. She dedicated the award to the women and children who continue to face adversity, urging everyone to remain compassionate and committed to making a difference.



"This award is not just for me but for all those who believe in the power of kindness and generosity. Together, we can make the world a better place for the most vulnerable members of our society," Evang. Farinde said.

She also encouraged women to value and support their husbands, particularly in the current economic climate, advising them not to place excessive burdens on their partners. At the same time, she emphasized that men should take responsibility for providing for their families.
