Former Osogbo South HLA, Elizabeth Oluwatoyin Adebisi Honored At Retirement and 40th Wedding Anniversary Celebration ...Gbagi Larooye Market Chiefs Present Gifts, Convey Royal Blessings and Tributes from Ataoja of Osogboland


It was a moment of joy, honor, and heartfelt appreciation on Saturday, April 19th, 2025, Ikirun as Pastor Mrs. Elizabeth Oluwatoyin Adebisi, the former Head of Local Government Administration (HLA) of Osogbo South Local Council Development Area (
LCDA), celebrated her retirement from the Local Government Service in grand style.

The ceremony, which also marked her 40th wedding anniversary, drew dignitaries, family, friends, and traditional leaders who gathered to celebrate a woman whose dedication and service have left an indelible mark on the Osogbo community.

One of the highlights of the event was the presence of the Chiefs from the Gbagi Larooye Market, led by Alhaji Chief Kamarudeen Yusuf Efe (Otun Babaloja of Sasa Market Osogbo), the Babaloja of Gbagi Larooye Market and the Amuludun of Owode Ilesa Garage Osogbo, who also doubles as the official representative of the Ataoja of Osogboland in all Osogbo markets.

The delegation, on behalf of His Royal Majesty, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun Larooye II, Ataoja of Osogboland, conveyed royal blessings and warm felicitations to Pastor Mrs. Adebisi. Speaking at the occasion, Alhaji Chief Yusuf Efe lauded her contributions to the development of markets within Osogbo and praised her as a virtuous and selfless leader whose active service brought significant progress to the community.

In the message from the Ataoja, delivered by Chief Yusuf Efe, Pastor Mrs. Adebisi was described as a committed public servant whose passion for community development was unmatched. "She always prioritized the progress of markets and the welfare of traders under her administration. If I had the power to extend her tenure in service, I would gladly do so because of the remarkable way she managed and uplifted market affairs in Osogbo," the monarch stated.

In appreciation of her outstanding service, the chiefs presented a special gift to Mrs. Adebisi on behalf of the Gbagi Larooye Market community.
Overwhelmed with gratitude, Pastor Mrs. Elizabeth Oluwatoyin Adebisi expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the Ataoja of Osogboland, the Chiefs, and the entire market community for their kind words and thoughtful gesture. She reflected on her years of service with humility and thanked God for the opportunity to serve the people of Osogbo.
"I am deeply honored by this recognition. I thank Kabiyesi, the Ataoja of Osogboland, and all the market chiefs for this show of love and support. I only did what I believed was right—ensuring growth, unity, and progress within our markets and communities," she said.
