Osun NNPP Chairman, Kayode Oyebamiji, Congratulates National Chairman Agbo, BOT, Aniebonam Over Court Verdict
The newly elected Osun State Chairman of the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP), Hon. Oyebamiji Francis Kayode, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the National Chairman of the party, Dr. Agbo Major, and the Founder/Board of Trustees (BOT) Chairman, Chief Dr. Boniface Aniebonam, following the recent court ruling that dismissed the case filed by Dr. Ahmed Ajuji.
In a resounding victory for the leadership of the NNPP, the court, under the ruling of Justice M.A. Hassan, affirmed that the suit lacked justiciable grounds and that the judiciary had no jurisdiction over internal party matters, specifically leadership and membership disputes. The ruling effectively rendered Dr. Ajuji's case null and void, underscoring the constitutional right of political parties to resolve internal issues without judicial interference.
Hon. Oyebamiji applauded the judicial system for upholding the fundamental principle of party autonomy, recognizing the right of political organizations to manage their internal affairs without undue external influence. He commended the court for standing firm in its commitment to preserving the integrity of democratic processes, reinforcing the sovereignty of the people within their political parties.
In addition, Oyebamiji congratulated the Board of Trustees (BOT) and the executive leadership of the NNPP, including Barr. Tony Christopher Obioha, Comrade Oginni Olaposi (National Secretary), and Chief Felix Chukwurah (Deputy National Chairman) for their resilience and leadership throughout the legal proceedings.
The Osun NNPP Chairman also called upon the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to take the necessary steps to officially recognize the legitimate leadership of the NNPP, as affirmed by the court ruling. He urged INEC to act in accordance with the law and ensure that the rightful leadership of the party is duly recognized in all official matters.
Finally, Hon. Oyebamiji extended his congratulations to the loyal members of the NNPP nationwide, who have stood steadfastly with the leadership of Dr. Boniface Aniebonam and Dr. Agbo Major, reaffirming their unwavering support for the party's vision and leadership.
This victory marks a significant milestone for the NNPP, solidifying its leadership and reinforcing the democratic values upon which the party stands.
