......NYC Osun Leadership Takes Oath, Youths Urged to Support Governor Adeleke’s Second Term Bid

In a bid to strengthen youth development and inclusivity in governance, the Osun State Commissioner for Youth Affairs, Hon. Olagunju, officially inaugurated the newly elected executives of the Nigeria Youth Congress (NYC), Osun State Chapter, on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.

The swearing-in ceremony, held at the Commissioner’s office, marked a significant moment for youth leadership in the state. Addressing the attendees, Hon. Olagunju emphasized Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke’s unwavering commitment to youth empowerment. He encouraged the newly inaugurated leaders and all Osun youths to actively support the Governor’s re-election, citing the Governor’s youth-friendly policies.

The Commissioner was applauded for his effective resolution of past disputes within various youth groups across the state, with many praising his dedication to unity and growth among young people. Representatives of the newly sworn-in executive body pledged their continued support for the Governor, expressing trust in the Commissioner’s ability to faithfully represent their interests.

In his inaugural address, the new State Secretary of NYC, Lxl Comrade Olawale Taofeeq A. (Agbomabiwon), expressed deep gratitude and a sense of responsibility as he assumed office.

“Distinguished guests, esteemed leaders, and fellow members of the Nigeria Youth Congress, I stand before you humbled and honored to serve this great organization,” he said.

He extended heartfelt appreciation to the national leadership led by Comrade Onifade Olaoluwa (Vibrant) Esq., and acknowledged the support of the Honorable Commissioner, as well as the visionary leadership of Governor Adeleke. Special thanks were also given to Hon. Comrade AlutaJay and Hon. Segxy Aluta, Special Assistants on Youth Affairs and Youth Mobilization respectively.

Comrade Taofeeq also appreciated stakeholders from Osun Central, particularly the Osogbo leadership, for their relentless efforts in advancing the youth agenda.

He pledged, on behalf of the new executive team, to work tirelessly to unlock the potential of Osun youths, foster innovation, and contribute meaningfully to the development of the state.
