Setting the Record Straight: Don't Deceive Osun People With 2018 Post.

It has come to my attention that an old social media post made by Senator Ajibola Basiru in 2018 is currently being circulated and misrepresented in a bid to mislead the public and create unnecessary confusion within our great party, the APC.

Let it be clearly stated: yes, Senator Basiru made a post in 2018 in support of Mr.Bola Oyebamiji during a period when political alignments and party interests were shaped by the realities of that time. That post was not made this year, and its context has absolutely no bearing on the current political landscape. Since the post was made an individual from Osun West is occupying the position of the governor and our party decided to pick a candidate in 2018 overruling zoning agitation of the time. 

Attempting to use a seven-year-old post to undermine Senator Basiru’s current aspirations is both dishonest and desperate. Political endorsements made in the past, under entirely different circumstances, should not be twisted to score cheap political points today.

Senator Ajibola Basiru remains focused on offering visionary, inclusive, and people-oriented leadership. The attempt to recycle old content to distract from today’s issues only shows that some individuals are running out of ideas.

Let’s focus on what truly matters: competence, capacity, and a clear vision for the future.
